Design Optimisation of a Cable–Strut Tensile Structure According to the Importance of Elements

چکیده

In this study, the design of a flexible cable–strut tensile structure was optimised according to importance elements achieve high structural robustness. First, coefficients were determined by comparing their prefailure and postfailure strain energy. Moreover, effects external load, initial prestress, cross-sectional areas on analysed. Second, genetic algorithm used optimise element section minimise maximum coefficient. Third, an cable arrangement scheme developed adding alternative load transfer path outer hoop with highest scheme, have Levy-type rather than Geiger-type so that Geiger–Levy composite dome is formed. Finally, for aforementioned comprehensively reduce The results study indicated different had coefficients, which exhibited trends changes in elements. Element optimisation, comprehensive optimisation reduced coefficient 20.5%, 11.6%, 27.7%, respectively, these processes can effectively improve robustness structures.
